Human AKT1
Human AKT1 Xpress Clones encode the serine/threonine kinase AKT1, a key regulator in cell survival and proliferation pathways activated by growth factors like PDGF, EGF, IGF-1, and insulin via PI3K signaling. Activation requires phosphorylation at Thr-308 and Ser-473 mutation at either site impairs function, while dual substitution with aspartic acid results in constitutively active AKT1. The K179A mutation eliminates kinase activity, and combinations like K179A + T308A/S473A act as dominant-negative forms, useful for studying AKT1 signaling, phosphorylation dynamics, and identifying upstream regulators in vivo and in vitro. - 20 ug each
